Jon Beyer
Hi, I'm Jon, & I'm here to help you find what you need! I believe that LEGO® has something for everybody, & I love helping people find what fuels their passion. I enjoy watching the creative wheels turn as people excitedly explore what's possible.

I grew up in a small town in West Virginia & I have a lifelong passion for LEGO®. I discovered the magic of building when I was about 2 years old, through the DUPLO® farm set & the rest is history! My favorite sets are: #6381 Motor Speedway, #6175 Crystal Explorer Sub, & #1555 Santa Clause.

Through my years of building & creating with LEGO® I have gained extensive knowledge of the product & its history. I have a background in customer service, business management, accounting, & early childhood education. I really enjoy sharing builds & creative ideas with people of all ages.
Lauren Beyer
Hello, I'm Lauren, & I'm thrilled to be able to help my husband Jon bring his vision to realization. There's no question that providing this space for creators to explore where their imagination can take them is something special. Jon has the knowledge of LEGO® (like an encyclopedia) & the passion to help others with their creative goals; whereas I can lend my background & experience in accounting, web design, & customer service in ways that stoke my passion to create on the computer screen. I love a reason to build an elaborate spreadsheet or code a website!

I also loved playing with LEGO® from an early age. My favorite sets were: #6419 Rolling Acres Ranch & #6090 Royal Knight's Castle. I am now drawn to sets with neat architectural elements, love detailed & elaborate city/town MOCs, & also enjoy the creativity people have with building in micro-scale. I wish I was better at coming up with cool building techniques & creative MOCs, but I appreciate what others can do & I like building from sets myself. My biggest passion is doing agility with my two Rhodesian Ridgebacks!

Howdy fellow brick builders, stud stackers, and adventurers!

I'm here to create a place where folks can express their creativity via narrative/interactive Birthday Parties and Castles & Creatures (a roleplaying game, combining LEGO® with Dungeons & Dragons).

I hail from the small town of Canby, OR which is not too far from Oregon City. My interest in LEGO® was sparked by the tiny indie film series, Star Wars. Building star fighters and grand armies shallowed many hours of my childhood. My favorite set is: #9497 Republic Striker-class Starfighter.

I can't wait to see what crazy ideas the customers of Yellow Castle Bricks come up with!

Jon & Lauren Beyer first came to Oregon in 2010, while they were on a year-long road trip for their honeymoon. They fell in love with Oregon & after traveling back for the next several years, they decided to move here & call it home in 2014. Lauren developed her accounting & business career, while building websites as a creative outlet for personal use & for her friends. Jon continued working in the customer service realm, which eventually led him to a position that allowed him to discover that he wasn't the only one with a passion for LEGO®. He also learned many meaningful ways these bricks have changed people's lives.

Through their experiences over the years, they came to the realization that a fun, comfortable, family-oriented, LEGO® retail space would be an amazing new career path, where they could put their skills & passions to use in a meaningful way. Sharing their vision, Jon's parents (Don & Jo) drove from West Virginia to build & paint most of what you see in the store, bringing their ideas to life — it's through Don & Jo's incredible talent that any of this is possible!

On August 3, 2024 we held the Grand Opening of Yellow Castle Bricks! We think it's safe to say that we have successfully created a place where the community can build & at the same time build a community. We love seeing the excitement & smiles on everyone's faces. Our dream has become a reality! We welcome everyone to come by to check out our store & to become part of our Oregon City, LEGO® family! 💛💙❤️
